My mom put a birthday present out for me today. I took one look at it and could see the words "Home Front" on it through the paper.

I'm happy/surprised that I'm getting A Spy on the Home Front: A Molly Mystery, but I wanted to recommend people use opaque wrapping paper.

What's the consensus on the mystery books? Are they good?

I read the Kit mystery and loved it! I'm not sure about the Molly mystery, but many people on the board really liked it!

    Thanks so much, Joy!

I can't wait to read the book--they seem like they'll be a little more mature reading than the six book series. I only stop by here once in a blue moon, but I'll post a review (I'll try to search out others' posts so I don't start a new thread...).

You're going to love it, Melissa. Molly is the only one I've read so far, but it was GREAT!

The Samantha and Kit books were good! Didn't read Kaya's or Molly's yet.

Happy Birthday! What a great gift. I am looking forward to hearing your reviews! The covers of these books remind me of the Nancy Drew books.

I've started reading it (first chapter only) and like it. But I did notice Molly isn't as "plucky" as she is in the other books (I'm not sure what word I'm going for here! ). I was also disappointed that she's at her grandparents', so her friendship with Linda and Susan is missing (and I miss it!). Otherwise, though, I'm enjoying it so far!
